In Honor of "National Sons Day"

I'm told it was recently "National Sons Day." Albeit an unofficial national commemoration, it made me reflect on my 3 boys, Evan, Colin, and Ryan. All three have feasted on their developing love of music. It is rewarding to share in a mutual passion with them and see them develop their interests in their own ways.
Colin, the middle son, is all about drums (and has a pretty good voice to boot -- I get a kick out of his regular harmonizing to songs we hear in the car).

Ryan, the youngest, is getting some special one on one training in bass guitar at the hands of his older brother, Evan. With already two bass guitars to his name, the little guy is all in and is now regularly contributing to the kids' band, "Emerald Skeleton."

And I've spoken about Evan before -- as a matter of fact I've been blessed by adding Evan's 10-years of guitar playing experience and accolades to some of my weddings this past year. He has contributed now to nearly half a dozen weddings playing instrumentals in acoustic and electric and has even supported ceremonies. Our sincere thanks to those clients that have wanted to work with Evan -- he truly appreciates all of you. You can learn more about his services on my page here: NEW! Instrumental Guitar | Dj Fo4 Music Service .
As an aside it will be exciting to see the boys' band play live together at their middle school talent show this fall -- yes, Evan is in high school, but he's their guitarist and they'll be playing an original number with the vocal contributions from their sister, Hannah.
Plain and simple, it's a blessing to share that love with them, and not be exclusive but my daughter, Hannah, deserves a whole post of her own ... stay tuned for that one. So thank you to those kids for cultivating something that matters to them and developing it together. My wife and I will be forever thankful for the opportunity to experience the journey.
Keep the beats pumping
