What's in a Logo???

When I decided to get into #DJing nearly a decade ago, I knew my performance name immediately. My decision came after my 4th and final child was born ... which isn't necessarily a timeline I'd recommend if you are considering this for a profession (or even a hobby!) Yes, an interesting timeline indeed. DJ Fo4, as you may already know, stands for "father of 4." <No this isn't some reference to a mid-2010s video game.>

I have been blessed with 3 boys and a girl, and I wanted a #logo reflective of my four #kids. Thanks in large part to the graphical artistry of my sister-in-law, my logo was created within weeks of deciding the name as 4 sets of eyes are positioned around the "Fo4" name. Blue, my favorite color, was a no brainer, but I dove deep into different eye designs so each one of my kid's personalities could be reflected. Take a stroll around my logo with me for an in-depth description:

DJ Fo4 Logo

My oldest, Evan, is a driven one, and the talented guitarist often used for cocktail and dinner sets with my clients (check his link in my services)-- he's the far right intense-looking set of eyes.

My sweetie pie, Miss Hannah herself, the lone girl of the group has her own distinct eye design -- observant and interested; patient and kind.

Probably the most passionate one, and my second youngest. Someone who wears his emotions on his sleeve. Caring to all (with a possible standup comedy profession in his future). No one simply asks me how I'm doing more than this kid. This is Colin.

And the youngest - the 4th and final - our bass player and all around active, friendly dude. Ryan is easy to get along with, softspoken, but sneaky smart. He enjoys that daddy DJs so he gets the headphones.

And there you have it. Picking the #djlogo was a pretty easy task for me, and every time I see that logo -- on my controller, my stickers, the back of my car -- any time I DJ away from them -- I feel they are part of me throughout my set. All these personalities caught on a single image. It's a joy being able to share this experience with them. Being a #fatherof4 is a blessing for sure, and sharing my #passion for music with them as they explore their own musical passions is its own journey I can't wait to see unfold.

As they say ... until the next moment ...
